The University of Birmingham is carrying out a research study exploring eating disorders and disordered eating within the Roma community across the UK.
They are inviting anyone aged 18 or over to take part in a focus group. You do not need to have any personal experience of eating disorders to participate — all views are welcome.
What’s involved:
  • A small focus group conversation about eating and eating disorders in the community;
  • Your information will be kept completely confidential;
  • You will receive £25 for your time;
 Save the Date — 7 September 2026
The Roma Project will be hosting an event together with the University of Birmingham research team. Further details on the location and time will be shared very soon — watch this space!
For more information or to sign up, email: edresearch@contacts.bham.ac.uk
You are also welcome to contact The Roma Project directly and we will be happy to help.
This project is led by Dr Anna Lavis at the University of Birmingham.
